The Rainier Expedition Parka is engineered for protection in the coldest conditions. It’s filled with goose down, the naturally warm and ultralight insulation that has proven itself time and again in the arctic and at altitude. Offset double-baffle construction eliminates colds spots, and the ethically-sourced 850FP, 90/10 traceable goose down maintains maximum heat-trapping loft. The ultralight cotton/nylon blend shell is highly breathable to minimize heat-sapping perspiration during high exertion, and features double-layer reinforced forearms for durability. The two-way front zipper provides ventilating versatility and is protected by an offset storm guard. The deep hood provides extended protection from frigid cold and wind around the face, and secures at chin height with snap-reinforced Velcro. Rib-knit interior cuffs seal in warmth while allowing double coverage with long-wristed gloves. Fingertip length for ample coverage.
