This collaboration brings together Freeman’s modern design and Filson’s century of field-proven fabric. The raincoat is sewn in Seattle from our 11-oz. oil-finish Shelter Cloth—dense, tightly woven cotton saturated with wax for lasting water resistance. A reproofing now and then keeps it shedding rain for years.

Inside, the torso and hand pockets are lined with our 18-oz. Seattle Wool, trusted for warmth for five decades. The sleeves are lined with cotton canvas that slides easily over layers. The hood’s structured brim keeps rain and snow out of your eyes. A chin-high zipper is guarded against weather by a storm flap. Snap-secured cuffs and hand-pocket flaps seal out the weather.

Freeman has been making raincoats in Seattle since 2011, starting in a Capitol Hill apartment and building a loyal following through local craft and timeless design. This raincoat carries that same DNA. The trim cut provides ease of motion through innovative design, working in daily life as well as it does in the field.

Care

Do not wash or dry-clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
